Bio

Leah Schwartzenberger is a grounded and innovative artist who has been in love with performing for as long as she can remember. With a passion for self-expression and a dedication to detail, she draws immense creative inspiration from a variety of worldly and human experiences, both personal and universal. Her works are often rooted in personality, emotion, and storytelling, and she truly believes that dance is a medium that extends beyond all words and can connect any and everyone.

Born and raised in California, she started dancing at age four in the competitive dance world, training in a multitude of styles and techniques. While in high school, she had the opportunity to direct and choreograph a full-length production of Alice in Wonderland as Paso High Theatre Company, under the production of Marcy Goodnow. In 2026, she graduated from AMDA College of the Performing Arts with her BFA in Dance. While at AMDA, she trained with industry professionals in a variety of dance styles, and received specialty training in cinematography, choreography, and film editing. During her education, she performed in multiple live productions and produced various choreographic works and films.

She has previously worked with Heat Dance Convention as an assistant, where she traveled around the U.S. assisting and training with their esteemed faculty, including Helene Phillips, Kavita Rao, Heather Morris, Pamala Yasutake, Stanley Glover, Kobi Rozenfeld, and many more. Leah adores teaching, and has taught at multiple local studios, where she mentored aspiring young artists ages 3-20 in styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, acrobatics, musical theatre, and pointe, as well as choreographed many competitive dance pieces.

Leah also has a deep love for teaching, and has been teaching and choreographing at local competitive dance studios since 2018. She loves working with littles, and has experience teaching ages 2-20 in ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theatre.

Her time at AMDA prepared and inspired Leah to dive into the professional dance industry as a dancer and choreographer. Some of her long-term goals include working commercially for film and television, performing with a touring artist, dancing in awards shows, and being in a Broadway National Tour. Beyond dance, Leah loves video games and would love to explore Mo-Cap and voice acting for both franchise and indie games alike. She is also deeply passionate about photography and videography, and runs her own personal photography business.

When she is not dancing, Leah enjoys spending time with her loved ones, being in nature, playing video games, crafting, and writing poetry.
